AREAS OF EXPERTISE:
Professor Thomas specializes in new product development and marketing strategy. His research interests include the application of computer-based management science modes, multivariate statistical analyses, and advanced marketing research techniques to market segmentation, new product design, pricing, and positioning of existing products and services. He teaches courses in marketing and new product development.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES:
Professor Thomas has published over thirty articles in the areas of new product development, organizational buying behavior, and forecasting. His book, New Product Development: Managing and Forecasting for Strategic Success, was a featured selection of the Fortune Book Club. His most recent book is New Product Success Stories: Lessons From Leading Innovators. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Product Innovation Management and has provided expert testimony on demand for new technologies for the Federal Communications Commission, the U.S. Postal Rate Commission, and the International Trade Commission. He also conducts executive seminars.
