The Credit Research Center supports relevant activities by scholars outside the Center.  Several types of assistance are available for the study of topics related to consumer credit or other retail financial services.  Funds are allocated based on the priorities established by the Center's staff and governing board.  A primary criterion for providing assistance is the likelihood that a project will lead to the publication of one or more articles in refereed professional journals.  All recipients of Center research support will submit a paper to be reviewed for inclusion in the Center's working paper series.

The Center supports external research in the following ways:

Research Associate Program
Faculty members may receive support from the Center to carry out projects related to consumer and mortgage credit markets.

Data Collection Funding
Money is allocated to finance collection of data for projects relevant to the Center's research interests.

Conferences
The Center periodically sponsors conferences to promote research on timely issues involving consumer and mortgage credit.  Researchers are invited to present and discuss relevant projects with those attending from industry, government, and consumer groups, among others.

Visiting Research Scholar Opportunities
The Credit Research Center welcomes qualified researchers to campus with opportunities to conduct ongoing research projects and to participate in workshops and research conferences organized by the center.
