May 17 - Grades for the final exam and for the class are posted outside my office. You can come by can pick up your final if you want. Have a great summer.

May 2 - There will be a review session on Wednesday, May 9th from 6:30 - 10:00 in room 395 Walsh. You can come and go as you please, you do not need to come for the whole session. I will stay as long as people are there. Notice that the room is 395 Walsh and not 397
April 26 - Here are the files which give you more information about project 3. Apparently the course pack had the old assignment sheets. You can find the files in the handouts section or you can download the file here in Wordperfect form or MS Word form.
April 19 - Below is the list of brokers for the trading simulation on Tuesday evening May 1 and their email addresses:
April 2 - Project 2 is due on Thursday April 5th. The project is due AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS. Projects not handed in at the beginning of class will be considered late. I will deduct 10 points from any project which comes in at the end of class. I will not accept projects that are turned in after the class period is over.
March 12 - You can download the Excel template for Project 2
here or in the handouts section. Remember, Project 2 is due on April 5th.
March 1st - You can download the answers to the midterm exam here or in the handouts section.
Feb 15th - The final exam from last semester is now posted in the handouts section. Both the blank version and the answer key are available. Download the exam and the answer key. Also, the Cort Business Services Case is available here or in the handouts section.
Feb 12th - You should make sure you bring your financial calculator to class from now on as we will be using it to calculate time value of money.
We will meet on Tuesday May 1st from 7:45 - 9:45 pm in room 397 Walsh for our trading simulation.
If you have not turned in an index card, please contact me and let me know as soon as possible.
The MS word document apparently is missing an equation in the appendix. The equation should read:
(95.35/996.60)*0.0749 + (261.25/996.60)*0.0810 + (640/996.60)*0.0953 = 0.0896 = 8.96%

MSB Intranet. Use the intranet to access Lexis-Nexis, Dow Jones News Retrieval, and Zack's Investment Research. Requires your username and password.
Yahoo Finance site. Excellent source for financial information including stock quotes, news, and research.
The SEC's EDGAR database. Online source for financial statements that must be filed with the SEC. Great place to get annual reports (also called 10-K), 10Qs, etc.
Quicken.com. Another fine source for financial information including financial statements, analyst's estimates, etc.
ABC's business web site. Enter a stock name or symbol to get all kinds of financial information including financial statements and broker's recommendations.
Check out today's stock market performance at CNNfn. You can also research companies here.
Chart.Yahoo.com. Great site to get quote data on stocks. Also gives you ability to get historical dividend data. Select monthly to get monthly stock data, dividends, and stock split data. VERY USEFUL.
Marketguide.com. A great resource for industry comparisons. Enter your stock symbol and or name and check out the link marked "comparison".
Free Edgar. The SEC's financial reports in an easy to read/print format. Great source for financial data.
Fun Sites
Market Map at Smartmoney.com. VERY COOL!!! Shows the performance of stocks in a graphical interface. At a glance you can tell which sectors (and which stocks) are doing well and which aren't. If you get the chance, check this out!
Wall Street Sports. Register for free and trade athletes like stocks in a real time simulation.
Hollywood Stock Exchange. Buy and sell movies as well as actors and actresses.
